This is unbelievably beautiful movie, which looks like the "Power of Ten" was made by the office of Charles and Ray Eames for IBM. Great job.

I'm still practicing with Adobe Illustrator "Gradient Mesh" tool.
I imagined like... "How the icon is gonna be like, if Freemason makes an application for OSX?"
Actually, this is totally meaningless. I just wanted to draw something by the tool.

This above is the wire frame for this icon. I don't know how to erase the needless part. lol

deathbowltodowntown.jpg

Description from Amazon; "Among modern cities, New York stands alone as the quintessential skating town- the place where the revolution in street skating got its startWith manic intensity, creativity, cultural ferment and its tangled urban landscape, NYCs mean streets in the 80s was ripe for the birth of a new type of modern skating; where stairs, banks, handrails, and benches could be ollied over, into, and down. In Deathbowl to Downtown, New York is a central character to the unfolding of what would be celebrated as one of the most creative and innovative periods in the history of the sport and saw the rise of some of the sports legends."

nothingbutthetruth.jpg

Description from Amazon; "Nothing But the Truth is the story of the Nike SB team, on and off their skateboards."

1standhope.jpg

Description from Amazon; "1st & Hope is a unique view of skateboarding through the lens of the Malloy Brothers (Thicker Than Water, Out Cold) as they capture Kenny Anderson and Brian Lotti "roll" through the urban landscape of downtown Los Angeles. This visual stream of skateboarding imagery is enhanced by the dynamic sounds of Beck."

Very luckily, all of 3 skateboarding videos recently I got were totally awesome!
The skateboarding culture still gives me a lot of inspirations, although I've stopped skateboarding since long ago. So I'm continuing to get those videos often still.

Yeah, actually the skateboarding industry has changed a lot especially in this 20 years. Not only Tony Hawk but also many other skaters became millionaires. We can find tons of skaters everywhere on the street. Many people are thinking it's metamorphosed as like a part of a main culture already. It might mean that skateboarding is not special anymore.
I can't say it's a good thing or a bad thing, but in fact, at least the quality of the skill and the expressions for videos for example, are getting higher and higher.

These 3 videos are very major videos. Means not independent. But their spirit is still like street kids, in good meaning.
Challenging, boldness, pride, vandalism... Those words sound like very primitive and old fashion, but every time make me exciting without any thinkings.

Of course I know almost every "sports" are very similar, but skateboarding is a little bit different for me. I can't say what exactly that is, but I think you can feel kinda same thing. It's not only a sport but also a culture...

Anyway simply put it's COOL. That's all. ;]

030: HADALOVE TVCF

This is my first TVCF (only the first one)! I've planed the concept of this.
Well, I don't know it's okay or not for the talent agency to upload it on Youtube though! I just found it yo~ ;P

baaaaat.jpg

I just wanted to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator "Gradient Mesh" tool.
It's so fun. The images are going to be fresh and very useful because they're vector data. But I gotta study harder... :[
I don't know how to control to make the mesh more minutely at the first time.
